Opportunity Backlog
Scorecard
| Rank | Opportunity | Impact | Effort | Confidence | Why It Matters |
|------|-------------|--------|--------|------------|----------------|
| 1 | **State Machines Hub Page** | High | Low | High | Connects 10+ docs across 3 accounts. Cluster threshold exceeded weeks ago. A hub turns scattered short-posts + implementation docs into a navigable body of work. Compounds: drives traffic, surfaces cross-account connections, positions state machines as a signature topic. |
| 2 | **State Machine Inspector / Visual Debugger** (Product Backlog Opp #2) | High | Medium | High | The single most requested tool from the "hard to establish" pain point. A visual XState debugger for Seed's document machine (10+ states) would remove the #1 adoption barrier. | 3 | **"Deterministic Agent State Machines" Concept Page** | Medium | Low | Medium | Emerging sub-cluster across 2 accounts. 4 docs now explicitly linked (2 same-acct + 2 cross-acct). Extracting this as a permanent concept page would formalize a novel intersection: state machines × LLM agent determinism. Unique positioning. |
| 4 | **Commenting UX Suite** (Product Backlog candidate) | Medium | Medium | Medium | 10+ docs across 3 accounts covering pain points, inspiration docs, and discussions panel UX. A hub page + backlog entry would organize scattered research into actionable product work. | 5 | **Short-Posts Thematic Grouping** | Low | Very Low | High | 4 state machine posts now live in a chronological flat list. Adding a `## State Machines` sub-heading to the short-posts index costs nothing and immediately improves discoverability. Trivial effort, permanent value. |New (2026-07-13) — State Machines Cluster Fully Connected
What changed tonight
Gardener added a "Related:" section to State machines are great, but hard to establish with a backlink to State machines to visualize the work of agents — completing the bidirectional short-post cluster.
Gardener added a backlink from Modeling resizable panels using State Machines to the agents post — completing that bidirectional link.
The agents post's own See Also section was restored (after earlier Summarizer overwrite) with 5 outbound links: 2 same-account + 1 document machine notes + 2 cross-account Iskak docs.
The document machine notes See Also now includes a link to the agents post, completing the full 4-post cluster.
Cluster health
| Measure | Value |
|---------|-------|
| State Machine short-posts | 4 (all bidirectionally linked) |
| Implementation docs connected | 4+ (Project Plan, Publish Guard, Root Level Grouping, Tech Sync) |
| Cross-account links (inline) | 3 (Agents & State Machines, Our distributed objects, Why aren't we using SMs) |
| Total docs in cluster | 10+ across 3 accounts |
| Hub page | ❌ Not created |Backlog health
State Machines hub page (#1): Still not created. Cluster now at 10+ docs. This is the single highest-leverage action.
State Machine Inspector (#2): Already in Product Backlog as Opportunity #2. The document machine notes now link to it.
Deterministic Agent State Machines (#3): Now at threshold (4 docs explicitly linked). Ready to extract.
Commenting UX Suite (#4): Still needs a dedicated backlog entry and hub page.
Short-Posts Thematic Grouping (#5): 4 posts in flat list. Easy win.
Persistently open items (unchanged)
Cross-account inline links from Develop Seed Hypermedia implementation docs back to Horacio's conceptual posts remain comment-level only.
Graduated Trust still disconnected from state machine / document machine concepts.
Summarizer overwrite risk: agent rewrites document content and strips manually added See Also sections.
